Anna Wilding in Sundance Screening and at Santa Barbara Film Festival 2007 with Two Very Different Movies

American based Commonwealth actress Anna Wilding takes the role of Miss Sixty in the film that was shot on location in New York. The film stars Mike Birbiglia and Anna Wilding appears opposite Adrian Martinez, who was also seen in the movie "The Interpreter."

Anna Wilding has more up her sleeve. Her feature "Buddha Wild Monk in the Hut" has scored an exclusive VIP screening at the Sundance courtesy of Luxury Suite. "Buddha" was was not entered into the cost prohibitive festival circuit, however the film, typical of the Sundance spirit and entertaining indepdendent fare, was chosen to screen on its merit. "Wild" means to be one with nature, and the film that is deftly created in an entertaining manner, presents a positive and joyous message. The critics and the general public who have been fortunate to see "Buddha Wild Monk" have raved about this original and humble film. The film is still in theatrical roll out stage. It garnered Critics Pick by LA Weekly Critic Mark Olsen who wrote: "GO ! Inspiration ! A Surprisingly Pleasant Trip," whilst Union Jack Newspaper stated: "Accomplished. Anna Wilding Captures Our Attention." Sean Hoade, Amazon, writes "I was charmed by it. The film's utter lack of pretension, coupled with an affectionate glimpse of what real Buddhist monks are like (funny and self effacing but serious about their mission), makes for a unique viewing experience."

"Buddha Wild" also recently had a four-week run in more theatres overseas and more cinema screens are pending. The film has consistently received good houses and praise for its colorful, engaging yet natural story telling by Anna Wilding and clever but easy to understand distillation of the complex Buddhist and Asian cultural beliefs.
